2020 Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes

5 Star Wine  98 Dark purple, rich and sold, a little reduction but obviously a huge wealth of fruit. This is not showing all the detail yet but is clearly not going to be just a monolith. Quite an extraordinary weight yet all beautifully harnessed, and with an aftertaste of extraordinary dimensions. The only wine in this flight that absolutely delivers. More red fruit than black, but both are present and seamlessly interweaved. The aftertaste is what really confirms the nobility. Drink from 2032-2045. Tasted: September 2024. - Jasper Morris
