2022 Camille Giroud Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques

92-94 An excellent depth of colour. Here the whole bunches have given a noted lift. Very fresh behind, more raspberry than strawberry, and the latter in alpine mode. A crisp white pepper tingle. This is a style which works well at Camille Giroud, and there is a sweetness to the fruit. But a suspicion of hail on the stems just leaves a dry touch at the finish. Drink from 2028-2035.
