2021 Lignier-Michelot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Cuvee Jules

91-93 Just Chatelots and Sentiers in the blend as there was nothing from Chabiots this year. Just one barrel instead of 3.5, and made with 100% whole bunches. Brisk crimson purple, with a fine red fruit energy on the nose. Not one of the softer Chambolles, shows more definition. Just a little smoky touch from the stems at the back, which I enjoy anyway. Despite the small crop, a success. Drink from 2027-2033. Tasted: November 2022. Jasper Morris
