2018 Camille Giroud Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Godelles

More red than purple. Quite a sweet liqueur cherry nose with some blackcurrant leaf. This starts to change quite quickly to add more depth and a slightly more savoury touch. Shades of The Linctus cough mixture on the palate. We have not otherwise seen many red cherries in the 2018s. Drink from 2026. Tasted Sep 2022. -Jasper Morris
