2018 Camille Giroud Clos Vougeot Grand Cru

92-94 Sourced from Petit Maupertui on thin soil with lots of limestone. In cool vintages Carel would rather have a component from richer soil too. Deep purple, showing the oak more here, though he is about to take it out of barrel. Quite substantial without losing finesse. Tasted: November 2019. - Jasper Morris
