2013 Camille Giroud Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru

94 An even mid red, with the first signs of orange at the edge. The Camille Giroud 2013 Charmes-Chambertin is beautifully perfumed. The barrel shows more on the palate, adding structure, to a fruit which holds its own. A little dry behind – which combined with the perfume makes me suspect that David Croix may have used some whole bunches here - but this is going places. Drink from 2023-2030.
