2022 Darviot-Perrin Volnay 1er cru 'Santenots'

90-92 A solid even deep purple. The fruit does not taste cooked but has become a little squashy, let us say fully ripe, but retains its balance on the palate, with few evident tannins, and good length. Not too much acidity, so will come round in the medium term. Just a tannin now showing at the back. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted: October 2023. - Jasper Morris
