2020, Chambolle-Musigny Borniques 1er Cru, 92-95

40% whole bunch but much less evident than for example the Godelles. More crimson than purple, with quite a lot of weight here. A spectacular terroir for Carel, and it is true that the intensity is rather stunning, and the quality of the fruit which emerges behind is classically Chambolle, with some violet notes even in as rich a year as 2020 Tasted: October 2021 - Jasper Morris
