97 Still a very fresh purple with a bouquet that is almost as fine as the first wine. In fact, it is the purer of the two. A superb and refined sensuality. It is difficult to smile so broadly with a mouthful of wine. Significant risk of spillage. I love this but I think there is even more finesse in the first Chambertin (which was from Rossignol-Trapet). Raw fruit still, a wine which is capable of developing significantly further.
