2023 Edouard Confuron Vosne-Romanée Hautes Maizieres

88-90 50% whole bunch vinification, 50% new wood. A lovely mid purple. The fruit is a little more sombre than some, not quite as concentrated, a fluidity across the palate. Could use a fraction more tension at the finish., perhaps. Drink from 2028-2032. Tasted Nov 2024. - Jasper Morris
